Allen Valley First Responders

About Us

Duty First Responders are available to North East Ambulance Control 24/7 and are directed to attend incidents such as Cardiac Arrest, Breathing Difficulties, Chest Pain, Unconsciousness and Trauma when it is considered that they will be able to arrive 'On Scene' more quickly than a Paramedic Unit. There are currently seven active First Responders in the AVFR Team of whom four are qualified to 'First Person On Scene' (FPOS) standards and are able to attend trauma related incidents. FPOS is a nationally recognised qualification in emergency pre-hospital trauma care.
